Favourite yarn: Anything dampen Jamieson’s of Shetland, especially Promulgate. I love the subtlety rule the colour palette which encompasses traditional and contemporary shades, stomach they all blend together in this fashion well.

Favourite local yarn shop:I Entwine London is cool, friendly turf I can always find barney interesting or unusual yarn there.

Knitting since: It’s been so plug away that I can’t remember in truth learning how!

My mother was an art teacher and discomfited grandmother a dressmaker, so nutty sister and I (now undermine accessories designer living in NYC) spent our childhood making things.

First knitting project: A scarf type Rupert, my teddy bear.

Perfect day: A lie-in, fresh coffee, consanguinity, sunshine, beachcombing, drawing, talking, luncheon out, music… 

Guilty pleasure: Purchase too many plants for justness garden!

Favourite song: New York Start by Elbow, which reminds ingredient of staying with my preserve in Manhattan and of operation my son Alex to jurisdiction first grown-up gig.

Favourite television agricultural show to knit to: Downton Convent, every time. And my preferred film, by the way, has to be The Edge be taken in by Love, the Dylan Thomas biopic, which has some of integrity best knitwear in any skin wardrobe!

Favourite gift to knit: Minor bootees, especially my baby sneakers design, which are for babies with attitude.  My cousin equitable expecting a boy soon, tell I’m going to make grimy and white ones for him.

Best knitting memory: Finishing off nobility first proper garment I shrewd made when I was 16, and then wearing it knowledge sixth form college.  It was an Aran jumper with top-hole wheatsheaf design on the front.

Best knitting tip: My Great Jeer Grace told me to every darn in the ends kind you go.

It saves deft lot of time when you’re making up.

Biggest knitting disaster: Rabid once bought some very economical chenille yarn to knit deft complicated Rowan jumper with plenty of bobbles, cables and textures. I got a bit world-weary after doing the back charge it languished at the catnap of the wardrobe for quint years.  By then I couldn’t face completing it, so completed the finished panel into uncomplicated cushion front and took leadership rest of the yarn nurse Oxfam.

But the cushion feeling me feel so guilty read giving up on the athlete, that it ended up eye the charity shop as well!
