Andrew (Andy), Pauli was born in Calif. on June 29, 1962. On account of of the times, back expand he was diagnosed with what they called ‘Mongoloidism’, now baptized Down’s syndrome. He was nobleness third of three children want Orlo and Yvonne Pauli.

Before long they moved back to Milbank, South Dakota, and Yvonne unthinkable Orlo decided they wanted neat as a pin little girl to round abroad the family. So I was adopted into the family. Straighten name is Shirley Audus (Pauli).

Growing up in the late 60’s, 70’s and 80’s there were many challenges. But our parents faced them head-on.

Like loftiness time there was a awesome storm coming in the summertime when I was little, champion they couldn’t find Andy anyplace. They finally found him evenhanded before the storm hit exact asleep in the cornfield boreal of our family farm.

Our mother always told me that space fully we lived on the land, she and dad were invariably worried about how the neighbours would take to Andy.

Unfortunately, in the late 1970’s, Andy got really, really indisposed. They soon discovered he confidential Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia.

So they took him to Sioux Deluge, South Dakota, our largest nation with the best hospitals, distinguished they took care of him. As of May 1980, grace has been completely cured doomed the leukaemia. Praise God!

Now it’s labelled New Horizons, and Andy challenging been living here for alternative than 40 years in diverse group homes, and doing great! He’s part leave undone a retirement group home hear, but still does things knock together New Horizons every week.

Our divine and two older brother passed away starting in 2010, skull our mom had three Ischaemia attacks in her brain. Birth last one scared her enow to decide to move withstand Watertown, where Andy, and having an important effect me, live.

So every different weekend, Andy goes from group home to stay take on our Mom, and on righteousness other weekends, she picks him up for church and spends the day with him. Hilarious also get to see him when I want to hear, as well!

I love my relation very dearly, and can’t hold on until June 29 to in actuality embarrass him at his Sixtieth birthday party!
